Who is Bredon Cricket Club’s volunteer of the year? Now is your chance to put them forward for the praise they deserve.
The nomination process for this year’s Bill Jones Memorial Volunteer of the Year Award/Natwest OSCAs (outstanding service to cricket awards) is now open.
Worcestershire Cricket launched the award in memory of one of recreational cricket’s most loyal and hardworking volunteers, Bill (WF) Jones.
The award offers an opportunity for clubs like ours to recognise hard-working volunteers who you feel have made a difference either during the year, or over time.
There are seven different categories you can choose from to nominate. They are:
- Heartbeat of the Club
- Get the game on
- Leagues
- Lifetime achiever
- NatWest CricketForce
- Officiating – impires and scorers
- Young volunteer
Nominations are not limited to one individual/group per category.
Following the cut-off date for nominations, Friday, July 1, a panel will sit to select the winners in each category.
All nominated individuals will be invited to an awards lunch on Tuesday, August 23, at Worcestershire County Cricket Club.
The club committee will put forward our official nomination, but we would like to hear your views about who deserves an accolade.
