Bredon Under 15s travelled to Kingsholm, Gloucester, for a league match in which their young stars shone on Monday evening.
Bredon were put into bat, and on a drying wicket Ollie McGrath opened up with a solid start.
He soon got into the flow, taking apart the bowling on a difficult track and giving the boys a great start.
Ollie notched up his 50 in style, playing some very classy shots.
Bredon ended up 132 for 5 after 20 overs.
Bredon then took to the field, with William Wilson opening up with great pace, clean-bowling their opener first ball, and with the following five balls unplayable.
In William’s third over he clean-bowled a further three batsmen.
A further two wickets were taken in his fourth over, with an amazing caught and bowled, William diving full length to dismiss their best bat.
He ended up: four overs, two maidens, 10 runs and six wickets.
Bredon skittled them out for 54. An amazing achievement, and many more to come. Watch this space!
Well done to both: Bredon’s up and coming stars of the future.
The Under 15s are now top of their league and are all playing their part and maturing into solid cricketers.
Well done, lads. Keep it up.
